Unfortunately, runway has only part of the story correct. Lepto can be found in almost any mammal and there are several hundred varieties that can cause disease and they are endemic to many areas of the US, especially rural areas with livestock and deer and even in urban areas with rats. Pets may not age "exactly" seven years for our 1, but the overall premise is that pets age faster. If they age faster they should see a veterinarian more often, before its too late!!

This is total B*llSh*t
1 human year = 7 dog years? thats COMPLETELY FALSE. GOOGLE it you'll find thats a myth. And seeing a Vet AT LEAST twice a year? Vets want you to come in more often and take more frequent vaccinations so they can make money! AND its harmful for the dog to take unnecessary vaccinations. Leptospirosis is endemic in only specific US regions. People DO YOUR RESEARCH, google VACINOSIS and you find a whole lot of info. Do it for you pets!
