Crazy Mental Math Solving by 4th graders

4th graders solve lonngg verbal math problem in their head. aweesomee. the first sections in chnz, but the problem is read aloud in english. try 2 solve it...w/o paper. i wish my math was this good

They learned how to calculate using an abacus. After lots of practice, they can do it without the abacus by visualizing the movements of the beads. We should be teaching our children how to do this in schools!

In China, where I teach oral english, this stuff goes on every day. It blows your mind. They can do this with ANY subject. Hey-ho!
