  • I agree. The man was a true genius at what he did. And you really come to appreciate him when you try to learn his style. Perfect rhythm and clean perfect lead guitar. What a gift!!!

  • SRV, really the best ever bluesman for an overall blues package, ever...and you look at the props he give to his influences and the people he's jammed with...any wonder why he came out with total package he did? respect from young and old, no matter what music/playing background...can bend those heavy strings super slow or keep the blues comin' at a fast tempo with oozing feel...no blues left untouched or mastered, that's Stevie Ray Vaughan. a legend. a bluesman of the highest order!!!

    RIP.

Lol, another person who hasn't heard the bootleg evidence. Don't worry, there's a major underground project right now preparing to show people the TRUE evidence of SRV's music prowess. Soon people will know that there was more to SRV than just what they play on the radio.

  • The lick at 2:44 to 2:48 are4 secs of improved time that says it all .. KILLER!

  • huh? best ever? seems you all have forgotten johnny winter??? and oh yes JIMMIE VAUGHAN??? anson funderburgh.... shhh another jimmie whats his name??? starts with an H...

you all need study his licks sometime. srv is a great player but he uses the same lcks all the time

  • @cavalrytm Hahahaha, I won't. Neither will I tell him the same Grammy-Award winning instrumental was voted "Best Guitar Solo Ever" in 2004 by UK Guitar One magazine. Not that I'm a fan of lists and rankings, quite the contrary…. but it's still a sign of well deserved appreciation

  • @Jesrama1

"SRV did more than a cover of Hendrix’s Little Wing"

Yeah, he did a "Grammy-award-winning instrumental expansion of a formerly untouchable rock classic". But shhhhh... don't tell csinner63.

  • @Jesrama1 Well that's exactly what I was being "Objective" while complimenting each in there own right... I think that much is obvious^^^

  • @csinner63 Mate, SRV did more than a cover of Hendrix’s Little Wing. He did to LW what Hendrix did with his cover to Hey, Joe, aka the ultimate version. Damn, even a die hard Hendrix fan should be capable of some objectivity

  • that band is pumping more than double trouble

  • nobody ever got more outta the pentatonic scale

  • @eatme765wes I agree that would be one jam to see indeed! C+RIP
