GHD Faulty ? Fit a new power cable from www.ghdsrepair.co.uk if your wire/flex is damaged then you can remove the broken iron lead and fit a new one in seconds. The video shows how to repair your ghds hair straighteners and how to swap the interchangable plug. Spares & Spare parts. Demo is on the MK3 / MK3.1b model, but works on the SS & MS models

  • thanks mate, this helped me fix me girlfriends straightens today ;)

  • I have the ghd rare... no external screws, also from the usa.

any idea how to fix it?

  • Thank you so much this really helped, i was gonna buy another one, didn't realise it was just the cable.

  • where do u buy the new cable from?

  • this exact straightner, if you take the two circular ghd pannels of the hinge and unscrew with 2 screwdrivers on eatch end open the secondary plate side and take the plate out slide the back cover off making sure not to damage it and theres two little flimsy wires that come off the circuit board and go to the plate, thats the trouble im having with mine, but its easy to solder back on ,,, this stops the function of the straightners totaly if these wires are broken ;)
