I saw them that year in Holland (North Sea Jazz), they were sublime. I was grooving so mightily Jon Hendricks noticed and winked at me!!! Happy memories...

he's got an alto, like in the original group before annie got georgia pushed out cause she wanted to be the only girl in the group...
sound really sucks though! how come?
the baritone's pitch is way better than dave lambert's though kind of straighter in rhythm. it's great how little if anything jon's lost over the years!
the sop has her own style (pitchy though) but annie ross? one of a kind! she sure underlines what a GREAT singer annie was! what a difficult part! yikes!

That's a great idea, sadly the great labels aren't interested in spend money with new bands or singers.
