From a Norwegian TV show (on NRK) in 1988. Middle part missing due to tape error, but worth being seen anyway.

  • Does anyone know when this was filmed? It seems like it would be older than 15 years ago.

  • It was in a program approx. one year before the release of the song on CD, which mean it is from 1989 or 1990.

It was released on CD in 1991.

  • Still makes me cry, and I'm not a baby. Just that it reminds me of summer nights, making out with a boyfriend, smell of grass, midnight blue sky, stars, love when you thought love was all there is and was real. Joni is still crystal clear.

  • THE female artist of the last 40 years.

  • What an amazingly cool lady she is. Wonderful, as always.

  • @Kafrifelle CGDEGC :)

  • One of my favorites by my favorite.

  • I would love to know what tuning she is using. I love Joni's voice and guitar playing ...

  • BTW, I called a Joni fan one night, who had a live version of this song on his answering machine before it was released. I didn't know it was Joni, due to the deeper voice. The fan turned out to be the man who started her online fan club, still going. Sadly, he died around 10 or so years ago, but we still have his website, and he was evidently instrumental in Joni finding her daughter.

There are still a great number of us Joni fans out here! Thank you, Wally.

  • I've seen Joni many times in concert, and with every new performance I see,

I never get over how she makes it looks so easy,so effortless, even though she is a master at what she does. Every musical note seems to float from her as if it were some kind of magic that only she can do! I hope she gives us even more music soon, and pries herself away from her other brilliance, painting. C'mon,Joni, we miss you,and you are still our #1 influence.

  • This was a few years before NRH in 1991. So obviously she'd written it before then. Interesting to know for trivia fiends like me. :)

  • I didn't know that she could do this. again and again. brilliant
