Can you freeze them?

Hey quick question; I love salmon roe but I've come to realize they have to kill the salmon to get it. Is this correct? As a vegetarian, I'd quite like to know...

Would be nice of how you're cutting it. Thanks.

that powder on the eggs. does it matter how much borax I put on the eggs or as long as I cover them nicely. I wouldn't be able to tie roe bags with that much powder on the eggs.

The powder is Borax, the brand is "20 Mule Team", which is the only brand that I think distributes borax. It does not matter how much you put on the eggs. The purpose is to preserve the eggs. The skein/skin that connects the eggs will become like leather and the eggs will feel the consitencey of a plastic worm. Hope this helps, and if you need more help or have more questions then just email me here.
