AL STEWART, 'MERLIN'S TIME' with DAVE NACHMANOFF, Roosendaal 2008

Another Al Stewart compositional masterpiece, 'Merlin's Time', performed exquisitely at 'De Kring' theatre, in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, October 7th, 2008.

Hello. I am Antonio, I live in Italy and last year, during these days, I was in Holland to follow Al Stewart Tour. I attended his concerts in Zaandam, Nijmegen and Roosendaal (at De Kring). I am an Al Stewart fan for more than 25 years, and last May I followed him on his entire UK Tour. When I was in Roosendaal, Al & Dave from the stage, dedicated just to me the song "Merlin's Time" and they referring about my trip from Italy to see them Live. I don't have any proof or demonstration of this show and you may imagine how great could be my pleasure to see "Merlin's Time". If you have the chance to share it, Many thanks, ANTONIO.

As I told you in the previous message, I saw Al & Dave in Zaandam, Njimegen and then Roosendaal: I spoke with them after Zaandam and, I'm sure they dedicated "Merlin's Time" "To Antonio" during the Njimegen show. Speaking again with Al after this show, he invited me to make another request and I suggested "Life in Dark Water", which they performed in Roosendaal, saying "This is for a guy that came from Italy to hear it" (or something like this). That's what happened. I follow Dave's activity on all his sites, and they are a lot... Have you got "Uncorked", the last Live Album by Al & Dave? A wonderful acoustic report from the concerts in USA. Indeed, Al did speak with a visitor in the audience from Italy when he performed in Roosendaal, but, from memory, they discussed famous navigators during the introduction to the new song, 'Hanno the Navigator'

Dave Nachmanoff plays superb (but apparantly effortless) accompaniment guitar to this great song.
