@segur15. If you were captain for 25 years i dont need to explain you that this is a job. Pilot says "one tugboat foreward, tug's line" and that's enought. It's safer connect at 6 Kn, but that's the game.
I realize that maybe you were taxidriver not captain, because you should know that the speed of the manouvre if fixed by pilot, not by any suicidal tugboat captain. And a captain must be shamed about use that languaje, if you dont give a shit about my opinion, please shut up.

Wow, There must be a safer way to do that!!! Love the fact the crew has no pfd on, Ive been a captain on tugs for quite sometime, and I can tell you that i would not be doing that, ever at that speed. Major accident waiting to happen!!!

Am a tug captain in port of antwerp belgium and this is does happen more then you think with the time line that lots of the container ships have, if they loose 1 hour they have to make it up otherwise there to late at there other destination.
And the sea captain 25 years your reaction is unbiliveble, your a stupid guy and the only thing you can do is manuver if you have much space, i like you to try in the locks in Antwerp, then we gonna see what your skills are

Well, if the ship would go that speed while we had to connect the tug, we would not come in front of that ship. That has to be like 11knots or so.....
If the tug engines fail for a few seconds it's byebye tug....

The max speed of this tug is only 12.5 knt, but we got the advantage of the raising tide and you must take account that we are "surfing" on the wave caused by the bulbous bow of the car-carrier
