it's a toothpick being held on by the weight of the spoon and fork. try it for yourself. that's why i did this in the first place.

The reason why the toothpick is not burning:

1. Thermodynamics, the toothpick can not maintain the high temperature needed for it too burn because the glas is "stealing" the heat from the toothpick.

2. Not enough oxygen for the fire to maintain the reaction.
