Simon is a GW and I am adopting another GW--a female who is 9. I don't want any breeding I just want them to keep each other company. Does Eenie like other GWs? She seems like such a sweetie! You said in one of your videos that she doesnt fly--how come?

All your macaws are well cared for as can tell by the video. they are so happy. do you rescue them when you get new birds or buy from a breeder? I am going to get a bird next year and not sure whether I should adopt or go to a breeder.

I purchased some of my birds from pet shops, a breeder and the rest were given to me in hopes that I could provide a better life for them. I do the best I can. I can only hope it will be enough for them to be happy for many years.

Eenie doesn't fly because she was neglected when she was younger. As a result, she had a lot of medical problems when I got her 5 years ago. Her chest muscles are very weak. However, she's healthier now and very sweet natured. If you do not cage your birds together, you should be fine.

I am just wondering how you are preventing any "hanky-panky."

Actually, I just give them access to each other and do not cage any of them together or provide any place to nest. They groom each other and play together, but haven't tried breeding so far.

Beautiful flock, so I am guessing that Mia and 'Rita are females? Are the boys interested in the girls? What about Eenie? Is she interested in the boys?

Mia, Eenie and Margarita (Rita) are all females. The BGs all interact with each other but the GW hates them with a passion.
