What a pair of old rogues!

The name of this song is NOT " I'll Keep On Lovin' You".. It is "I'll Take What I Can Get" .. two totally different songs. I was Floyd's fan club president and a dear friend to him and Lil Marge.. I was holding Floyd's hand
when he died.. so please change the title to the correct one.. " I'll Take What I Can Get".. maybe you can find another version and compare the lyrics, if you don't believe me..

From "The legends of country music with Willie Nelson" broadcast on TNN in 1995

We seem to have lost a lot of the country swing. Johnny Gimble was a great country swing player. It ain't got a thing if it ain't got that swing. He was a great improviser, what a command he had. Gift from god and a lot of sweat and hard work. I think natuaral ability comes into play also.

This song is called " I'll Take What I Can Get " Floyd Tillman wrote it in the early 40's and is singing it here in the early 80's on a TNN ( The Nashville Network ) television show called "Texas Connection ". Johnny Gimble's partial band is there with Johnny's son Dick Gimble playing acoustic base ..... What a great song and video to have posted .. Thanks ...

Hi westendblues do you have 'Life is just a school' by any chance?
-
What year is this from? Any chance you'll post more from this concert? Thanks!
it's from about 1993, some country channel cable show. somehow, i only salvaged this tune, which is a damn shame, because the version of "i'll keep on loving you" has johnny gimble playing a mandolin solo that would have impressed jethro burns.
