This video shows the first downhill section on the 6ft Track Marathon. This segment was filmed very close to the starting line. You can see the first 8 runners are alredy opening a distinct gap on the rest of the field. Note the body position of these runners, they are not attempting to slow themselves at all. As the runners progress (from ~10sec on) you will see the added strain on the legs, stride length and different body position as they attempt to slow themselves.
