Randy Ai - Talking to Germans (Canada's Next Great Prime Minister)

What do the Germans know about Canada? Do they know that we are a bilingual country? Can they name our capital? Do they think we all live in igloos? There is only one way to find out and thats to ask them.

In this video, I travel to Germany to find out what the German people know about my country. Along the way, I attempt to provide them with a few extra facts about Canada, and maybe even a little bit of Canadian charm.

More importantly, Germany traditionally boasts a much higher voter turnout rate than Canada. Considering our low voter turnout rate in the last federal election, I want to see if the Germans can suggest ways to get more Canadians to vote.

This video was made as part of my 2008/2009 campaign to win CBCs Canadas Next Great Prime Minister contest. This video is my entry for the Community Event challenge.

Truth be told, only 1 or 2 people in this video were actually German. The rest spoke with accents and what not, clearly not German born citizens.

but i guess what i really mean is that the schools should promote self learning instead of just teaching them and things like researching who to vote for will follow and i messed up somethings like using there instead of their oh well

and young minds are easy to control and indoctrinate that is why religions try to target the kids more but in my eyes canadia is awesome i do need to learn more about it but it is so peaceful much like denmark is i wish america would look at countrys like yours and take in some of that and for fucks sake learn another language at a young age here it blows and we got assholes that talk like learning a 2nd language will destroy everything american fuck fox news lol

hmm i dont think trying to get people to vote is a good way to aproch such a thing need them to get interested in the world around them and wanting to reseach things on there own not taking things like the media for there word and looking and like you said finding out what other countrys say about things is great i know some german so i look there from time to time but that guy saying in school while its a good idea to get them interested at a young age the schools are run by the government
