Using a crankcase splitter / crankshaft remover from http://www.rent-these-tools.com , we demonstrate splitting the crank case, and removing the crankshaft from a Polaris Predator 500. This video is provided as a general reference. You should consult your service manual for specific procedures for your application.

On some motors, this tool is a necessity for replacing or rebuilding the crankshaft, replacing worn crankshaft bearings, or repairing the transmission.
