For those who are asking "who the fuck is toby?" let me explain. Toby Flenderson is a character from the popular show "the office" (U.S) and on the season 4 finale they make a leaving party for him and Michael Scott sings this song sort of as a joke to Toby which he never got along with during his stay. This song is not about quitting smoking weed, Mary and Jane happen to be two of the most common women's names in all of English speaking history. But yeah, its more likely hes telling the weed to feel no sorrow or shame and not women he has had one night stands / short relationships with. If you have the kind of relationship with weed where this song makes sense in that light, YOU need to quit smokin' the stuff.
