Boys are raised with toy guns and girls are raised with barbies. Gender identity is conditioned in the sense of roles played out in society. That's why men get certain jobs and women don't, it's all social conditioning.

"God doesn't put a pecker on a man and say 'don't use it until you get married' or it would pop out the day he got married".

@SidneyXda But who put her in the frilly frock and allowed her to have long hair while her surrounding male peers had short hair? Who surrounded her with media images of girls and women who were shown to be loved, respected, successful, happy while having a specific appearance? Kids learn to do what will give them social acceptance. For girls, they quickly figure out the way they should look and behave in order to gain cultural approval.

It's simple ; we unleash green technology or perish.The most important thing we can do is give the next generation the tools to implement a resource based economy and a truly humane system of global cybernation.If you dont understand these terms please look into it for the sake of your children even if you aren't sold on the ideas yourself.

@SidneyXda HE kinda proved you wrong...
you know his examples are funny and make you think..but deep down you know thats not entirely why certain people are in a certain way. girls can be shown washing machines all day long, but the moment she see's a doll, who happens to have long hair ..(like hers) , frilly frock (like hers) ..naturally she will favor that..and would want that. Humans like things they can relate to.

@SidneyXda
Sure, people like things they can relate to; however women are not born with longer hair than men, it's a cultural phenomenon. If you gave a girl a boy's haircut and raised her as a boy, she would identify with boy things, if she wasn't aware that they were different from her. What Jacque is saying is that girls do not "naturally" prefer Barbie's dreamhouse or kitchen-related things or baby dolls to take care of, those are social values imposed on the child.
