"Or Scott Brown would of released these tunes on his bouncy techno label." (No1InterNetGangstar)
^ That label wasn't there at the start to do this though. BT Records was for Brown to sound experiment with 1997+. Evolution itself changed from bouncy 94-97 to a bouncy happy hybrid in 97-99.
What would become later known as "UK Hardcore" is on a few BT Records (Died in Aberdeen). Due to distribution problems with BT Records the stuff probably got moved over to Evolution just to release them.

Are these tune's the bouncy side of hardcore. I would say yes. As they are much more bouncy than Happy Hardcore the newer trancey UK Hardcore. & I think Scott Brown is the bounce master of old skool Hardcore. So I refer 2 this stuff as old skool bouncy Hardcore. As I said in a other comment. I will more than likely get more hits labeling it old skool bouncy Hardcore.
I would say that all Hardcore more than likely originated from the old breakbeat rave stuff !!

"sounds like happy hardcore/uk hardcore/freeform to me" (jimmybrite)
^ Easy. Bouncy was the first by a few years. The first true 4/4 hardcore from UK. Scotland was tight with Holland. The English raves was all breakbeat then. Happy was just south English guys replicating the Scott Brown sound like they have done for years and years. Happy was really breakbeat, like a piano jungle, and long dead. Anything else isn't really happy at all but Scott Brown bouncy influenced.

You left out North East England. I would say that the North East had a big part to play in the Scottish Hardcore seen. With Judgment Day & The Colosseum. And you can't forget Bass Generator. But I must say I my opinion. This Scottish bouncy Hardcore/Techno. Is by far the best of all the different Hardcore styles. New skool, old skool, UK Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, all that shit. The Scott Brown Bouncy stuff is the god dam bees knees of the all. I wish they still made them like this.
