The extra gearing gives that heavy truck a little more power. In the video he said that this truck has 12 gears. Wouldn't it have seven? Two from the Ruckstell, two from the original transmission and three from the auxiliary. Just thought of it as I was watching it. That is a very nice truck and car.

No wheellift, no PTO its all hand crank. Its pretty cool that particular Model T has a Ruxtall that's very rare. I'd hate to have done winch calls in the 20s though. A Model T with a Manley Wrecker. Thanks for sharing.

There is no PTO. The hand crank is used to lift the tow bar. A tow bar is attached to the back of the truck and clamps onto the front axle of the Hup. The chain is attached to the tow bar.

How cool is that?? Is the lift PTO driven on these? Also, with just the lift chain, how do you keep the towed vehicle from running into the back of the truck?
