  • just gonna say you could just use blending mode and blend it into the composition, instead of having to key it out..

  • @XxTimemastazxX That wouldn't work, remember if you change the blend mode everything get's blended, the item included. So for instance if you used 'multiply' the object you want to keep would get darkened by the pixels underneath as well. You can only use blend modes to key if you are working with silhouettes.

  • two things, first, when you do this is the background black or transparent and secondly, can you make a tutorial on how to key out black backgrounds PLEASE RESPOND. nice video btw

  • @sinaieman The background will be transparent, you just can't see it in this as I had no background layer beneath the boat. If you want to key out black background change the 'Key Type' to 'Key out Darker'.

  • AE cs4 comes with Keylight. a state of the art colour keying tool. so just shoot green or blue and get results like big budget movies. :)

  • I am using a blood hit in a white backround and it shows the blood and they black backround but there is alot of white in-between
