Hero of Light - Crimson Tides expansion

Hero of Light is a series of Heroes III - WOG mods that change many aspects of the game and install a brand new gameplay.

+5% luck and leadership? What good is that?

With expert leadership you get +3 morale. A hero of level 20 with Leadership bonus gets: 20x5%=100% bonus in morale which means 3+3=6 morale.

That means you can have creatures from diferent towns, face Ghost Dragons and have Sorrow cast upon you and still have a positive morale. I think it is a substantial boon for your army. Same goes with Luck bonus.

I just do not understand the logic in the upgrade of the units. What is the meaning, Black Knight to become a woman? Into black queen?

If you read the description in the forum you'll get the answer. The basic idea of this mod is that some creatures are INTERCHANGEABLE. Black Knight doesn't UPGRADE into Dark Queen it is EXCHANGED. You can either have Black Knights OR Dark Queens. That's why the upgrade button now reads: Upgrade or Exchange unit".

It's from Heroes IV. The theme of the Order town. Ending the video is the theme of the Chaos town.

btw version 1.0 of hota is done it is an add-on that did not try to change the concept of the game

the sea kingdom is a clone of the cove town from horn of the abyss. The hota version of the town is much better because this expansion stole the unit designs earlier in the hota development. The conflux change also looks terrible because of the tier 6 units are so much stronger than anything else that the other towns can get. The only thing i liked about this add-on was the alternate creatures, but other than that, the creators did not do a very good job.
