  • his ride cymbal is the sexiest sounding ride ever..

  • I even paused porn for this!

  • @jetfreak4 yeah i agree with you man. Copeland is one of the best drummers ever and he shreds on regatta

  • @austin78993 I agree there. That's Stew's biggest accomplishment by far. He's not a soloist, but an incredible accompanist. His drumming incorporates many different styles...reggae, African, Middle East, jazz, rock, etc., and his rhythmic patterns are brilliant. He is not an easy drummer to copy by any stretch. He is the reason I started playing drums. Regatta De Blanc is one of the best drumming albums ever produced.

  • @jetfreak4 Oh he is technical for sure, but he isn't a huge chops guy. Some of his fills are just three strokes but he puts them in the most strange and unique spots ever. like some of the fills in one world not three. unreal. He can be a chops drummer when he wants to be but i feel that his real talent is to make something amazing out of very minimal playing.

  • @austin78993 I actually disagree on him not being the most technical. No Time This Time, Regatta De Blanc, Walking On The Moon, Next To You, The Other Way of Stopping, and Nothing Worth Achieving all suggest him to be very technologically competent.

  • @jetfreak4 its so perfect. You just know its him right when he plays. And he gives this awesome feeling to a simple rock beat. Even on songs like Canary in a Coalmine you know its him. Maybe he isnt the most technical drummer, but a creative legend and my favorite drummer of all time

  • @holprod00

He's left-handed so he may not be as confident/strong in his right hand...

  • Legend - drumming is a skill few can muster. Stewart Copeland MAKES songs - just listen to Message In a Bottle - he owns that song. The master, true true master. The rest are in his wake.
