Bill Moyers is such an intelligent and researched man. I wish I could meet him. I have never regretted watching anything he's done on pbs.

Why do I keep seeing videos with Obama and Dr. King together somehow... is it because they are both black?

Obama's change is not Dr. King's change.
Obama is a Democrat and Dr. King was a Republican. Dr. King understood the bigotry that still exists in the Democrat party.

You're totally wrong, Dr. King was a Republican in the early 50's, because he grew up in the South that was controlled by the Southern CONSERVATIVE Democrats. He voted for JFK, and LBJ in the 60 and 64 elections respectively. Goldwater and Nixon (in 68 and 72) exploited the race issue to their advantage; look up the "Southern strategy" if you want to learn something.

Connecting now with the past to defame the now is like telling everybody that Hitler was a Conservative and this is why conservatives are evil. Racist is a human thing, not a party thing.

Bill Moyers is an excellent journalist. I wish the hacks on cable news could follow his example.

The nucleus of the Dream Speech is a world where al people are judged on the content of an individuals character and not the color of said individuals skin. 98% of black voters voted for Obama. I heard it time and time again, *its time*, we need a black President. The fact is, the only people that judge Obama on his character (look at those he calls his friend) are those that voted against him. 11/04/08 is the day that black America killed the dream and sold their victimhood in the process.

"Direct action is not a substitute for work in the courts and the halls of government. Bringing about passage of a new and broad law by a city council, state legislature, or the Congress, or pleading cases before the courts of the land, does not eliminate the necessity for bringing about the mass dramatization of injustice in front of a city hall.
Indeed, direct action and legal action complement one another. When skillfully employed, each becomes more effective."
Martin Luther King, Jr
