Phate was one smoke away from giving Dana the biggest beat down of his life. Bro, lemme tell you something. When you're dating a red head like Jenna, who is best friends with.. like our savior Evalina, you take things very seriously. I'm talking about Phate in case you didn't know..
"I'm game for a brother on brother brawl. I mean this isn't the first time you've had to fight him."
"I'm not going to fight him." Cal said.
"Are you kidding me? Peace maker.. what else is there to do?" Phate snorted.
"Look, I've fought him once before, and it didn't end extremely well on my part considering I let him win in order for him to prove a dumb point. We fought over Evallina, and it's still an ongoing thing. She's not here today.. she's out with Hathaway, and I intend on fixing my brother without getting physical."
"Just fight him and show him who's boss. He already thinks he's stronger than you." Zhander said.
"You all know that that isn't the case."
"Where'd you get all your crazy powers anyway.."
"I'm assuming from my parents." Cal said in reply to Phate.
"Just fight him."
"Trust in me that I won't need to."
As far as I'm concerned.. I'm CONFUSED MAN.
Cal sat down on the couch and waited while he and Tempest shared some secret cult glance together. It made me wonder what they were really up to half the time. Tempest just stood there, quiet, dressed in a black pair of slicker leather jeans, big smashing boom boots, and a big black cloak. He had a walking thingy in his hand, and the top of it was a septor with some snake thing coming off of it. I think he thinks he's cool. I looked over at Cal, and then towards Zhander who had a "How to be the best Uncle you can be" book in his hands. Shaking my head I crossed my arms. I'd be the best Uncle ever. He'd lose. I'd win. Plain and simple. All of a sudden, Cal's head turned toward the door and he got up, brushing off his shirt. Dana walked through the big ass brown door, and shut it behind him. When he turned around, he was looking at Cal.
I took a gulp.
Did I really want to be here?
"What. What would you like now, Cal."
Cal took a slow breath, and it was like some secret witchy mumbo jumbo that happened next. His eyes went to a low color yellow and he stood up straight and..
"I want you.. to sit." he said smoothly, in the most monotone voice I'd ever heard.
Dana's body wavered slightly and his eyes became raw black and then he blinked. Silently, he walked slowly over to the empty chair across from the coffee table, and sat down, looking up at Cal.
"Why don't.. you all find something to do." Cal said slowly, looking at each one of us.
Tempest was first to leave, and then Phate and Zhander.
"Go ahead, Rap.. this won't take long." he said.
I wasn't scared. Scared was the last thing I was.
Okay maybe a little.
I didn't realize what Cal was planning on doing until he began to talk in a trance. He was going to mind fuck Dana. Well not really.. but he was going to use mind control and thought concentration on him.
I guess it all came down to whatever worked.
But, for the longest time... I thought mind control on a brother vampire was illegal.
Cal must be God then, to get away with the illegal.
