  • This was an awesome collection of sci fi women. But you didn't add any characters from Mutant x.

  • Shalimar Fox was in the running...

  • Amand Tapping, Lucy Lawless, Cladia Black, and a couple of others, but no you only used each charter once.

  • Yeah, it's interesting. If I was to make a list of the most influencial women who have performed in an SF role, it would come out a little different - and would basically be a list of people who worked in Joss Whedon productions!

  • most of these roles aren't sci-fi

  • Good List, I know this is YOUR list, but I would have definitely had Zev from Lexx

  • Where is Zira aka Kim Hunter (Planet of the Apes) and Padme aka Natalie Portman (Star Wars)????? o_O

  • rofl loxana troi out ranks sela haha fail... how the fuck is ro laren 26?? ok i only agree with ripley at #1

  • Oh and watching it again - I see one that looks like a repeat. Sharon Agathon and Boomer are both Number 8 model Cylons, but each quite different and strong characters in their own right, played by Grace Lau on the same program. I didn't feel right just creating a slide called "Number 8" for them.

  • OH - did you mean repeats of the actors? That's on purpose. The list is of specific characters. In some cases, such as with Summer Glau, there's a performer who has had the opportunity to portray more than one solid female character in an SF setting.
