Amelie Theme Song - Accordion Bass Tutorial

A step by step tutorial on playing the Amelie theme song on the accordion (left-hand).

Tips:
1. Play the left hand bass "stacatto", only touching the keys for a short period of time, as though they were on fire. The shorter you press them, the better they will sound.

2. The song's chords are:

Actually, it's very similar to two people talking to you at the same time. You tend to ignore one of the people... actually, it's more like not paying as much attention to one of the people...

The left hand typically gets that treatment when playing the "oom-pa" pattern... it's the same motion, and becomes a muscle movement after a while.

The same can't be said for complex pieces, though, where both hands working independently :)

If you live in Toronto, sure :) But I think you could find one just like it, or better, either on eBay (where I got this one), craigslist, or in a used instrument shop.
