  • This Swiss (or Austro-German sounding espesh 'diamonds' bit). Always

call these type Eliz's 'lets see what thee think about this' songs where

she amazes to de max. Use' puts those on de album end.

  • @whitebootsify just luv Lizs wording here, your so right she does

always amaze to the max, its all the more amazing and intriguing

because you cant tell whats being said, you just put your own thoughts

and feelings to it, so clever as always :)

  • I remember reading in a magazine when this came out that there was a documentary film planned for the making of the album, but that it was scrapped for some reason. What a shame.

  • @daleruk8642 Hi there my friend, wow that would have been

brilliant if they had done that documentary!!! :))

  • Considering the painful later days of the Liz and Robyn relationship it is not unlikely your are hearing pain even in upbeat sounding songs... It's the trademark Cocteau melancholy

  • @sophinana Hi there, thats so true, yet all the pain sure

help spark some amazing songs, just wished they would

finish that last album they begun,

  • Thx Shum my friend, u r becoming the new Vaughan Oliver of Youtube !

  • It's funny how people interpret sound through different ears/perspectives, how people interpret this as 'happy' is strange to me. As a whole, this album has some distinctly dark tones, as many of their songs have foreboding/melancholic undertones...although I'm coming from a standpoint of listening to the album from start to finish in its entirety over the years. Every single song is worth a listen if you like what you hear here. They've influenced many genres, I'm sure. Innovative sounds.

  • @sophiesepe Hi there, its true we all have our own take on the Cocteau Twins,

I often hear darkness and pain in many of their songs, but also a powerful sense

of beauty, and pure dreaminess, they sure did and still are influencing artist today,

Great to hear from you my friend, thoughtful comments indeed :))
