Jazz, Period. - "Fixing Things" is an insightful vignette of saxophonist Al McLean - his passion for mechanics, 'build quality', and his instrument restoration process. McLean takes a 1925 King Bb soprano saxophone from pieces, to performance in this film, revealing a dimension of talent that is uncommon, but not unexpected from a player with such unmistakable passion.
Patience, focus and a deep respect underlay McLean's work. On his shop bench, and on stage, we are treated to a somewhat antithetical approach to modern life. Quality, and authenticity trump expediency... They just don't make 'm like they used to.

Hallo,
I like the song you play, but haven't heard it before. What song is it you play on this soprano? Your sound is nice and the lines you play are interesting.
