  • Well god bless your taste buds. We feel the same way. I'd rather drink water than crap beer any day.

  • I do have to ask, if you guys are "bottom feeders" and are frugal with your purchases, why are you one of the most expensive production beers?!?

  • @WAKeele because Brewmaster John Maier decides what goes in the beer, not the accountants.

  • @RogueHQ That doesn't answer the question. That's obvious. I wouldn't expect any craft brewer with the name and distribution to do so, i.e a certain revenue. From what I've read on many of the bottles, generally local ingredients are used. There's got to be more to it than that. I mean a great beer is worth it sometimes--and if you have the money, all the time. I just can't pay that much for beer like that regularly unless I'm trying something new. I drink quality or it's water for me.

  • @WAKeele It's pretty simple. Here's how it works for us. John Maier makes the beer to his specifications. The sales people then look at what it cost to make the beer and what kind of margin we need to make to stay in business. That's the price we sell it at.

  • When I first started drinking beer I went straight for the micro brews and Rogue was one of them. I didn't even look at the domestics because I already knew they wouldn't agree with me. You guys make awesome beer full of flavor and character. I just wish I could find those 64 oz. sharing jugs in my area.

  • We call them growlers and you should be able to find them, you live in the US don't you?

  • Those bringing up the issue of price of....say...Dead Guy Ale. Sure, its higher priced...but its also higher flavored AND higher alcohol content. I can put a price on those 2 items and if that means I pay $12-$13 a sixxer of Dead Guy...so be it. I would rather drink 6 pricey beers that taste great than 30 that will only give me a HUMONGOUS headache and make me piss like a horse. I understand the price thing...but when you buy a craft beer...you're buying more than just a beer.

  • The video was great maybe when I come back home to Oregon I will have to come for a visit, one problem I thought I saw a LA Lakers sign your an Oregon brewery right Portland Trail Blazers sign should be their not the Lakers LOL..............

  • I just bought my first Rogue Growler all the way from Ramstein AB Germany. I don't know how it got here, if you guys sent it, or someone ordered it for us. But I sure do appreciate it! Thanks for the great beer!

  • @DanBrino One of the higher quality beer--yes. The best--that's subjective. With over 1,700 breweries in the U.S. now and the poor distribution and retail network (as in handling), one can't say one brewery is the best overall other than for them self. I try on average over 300 new beers a year these days and I've had some amazing beers (to me) that run around $3-4 for a 22. I really like Dead Guy, but too pricey to make it a regular. Luckily, I live in a beer town and I brew.

  • Can I just say, that I LOVE that you guys sponsor the Las Vegas Age of Chivalry Ren Faire? I hope you guys NEVER stop. I cant stand going to a ren faire and ordering a Miller lite. Miller lite is what happens when you fill an empty beer bottle with water and get the leftover taste of the beer that was in it. And not even good beer! If I wanted water I'd drink it for free.

  • @WAKeele Then you should have no problem forking out the 6 bucks for a Rogue as it is the best craft beer on the market.

  • Most certainly the finest craft beers on the planet BAR NONE! Shakespeare oatmeal stout is my favorite.

  • Ps Ps.... Chris. ..Has anyone ever told you that you look and sound a little like Norm Macdonald?

  • Ps.. I wouldn't say this was "hilarious" ...but it DOES make me proud to be an Oregonian.

  • Oregon FTW!!

I have lived here all 21 years of my life and i have only just recently tried Rogue for the fist time. Shame on me!!! It's so good. But, expensive. :^(

Almost 7 bucks for a 22 oz Dead Guy here. :^/

    WTF!?

Really? Come on Rogue. You'd get more profit if your prices were lower. Because more people would buy them more often, as opposed to treating themselves with one a week. Seriously, the Dead Guy is in my top 5. ..And even though I'm only 21, I have had a lot of other experiences.

  • hey,

I am from Germany, and i never tried such a good american beer.

I love your Dead Guy Ale! It's just awesome!!

make your beer available in germany, its very hard to get it here...
