PAF's, unpotted, weaken AlNiCo 2 magnets, 7.2K neck, 7.9K bridge, Gibson Les Paul 53/60 conversion, Music Man HD 130, Marshall O/S 4X12 cabinet loaded with Celestion G12H Heritage Speakers.
I use a Variac set at 115V, no pedals. A Two-Rock guitar cable strait into the amp.

  • Sorry, I sold the guitar.

  • I researched Fralin pickups further and actually spoke to Mr, Fralin on the phone, all there pickups are handmade, they offer standard windings that yield specific DC resistances that they have established through "research and development". But they make pickups specifically to someones preference, people usually start with there standard wound/output pickups and tweek them to there preference from there once they have established paramiteres to work with. Disregard my last comment. Thanks

  • @DustinG28 Sorry Guys, I do not visit this site often, you covered the background to my specific pickups very well. They also "dirty up" really well, with smooth breakup.

  • Need more footage!!! conversions are the coolest thing since english rock bands plugged into marshalls!!!!

  • Sweet tone

  • @fedevespa13 Yes, Fralin Pure PAF, True 60's or Sheptone Tributes are excellent. Almost anything is better than Burstbuckers (IMO)

  • if all the pickups measured perfect every pickup, then they'd pry be machine made. do u really want that.

  • I'm a little confused with the specs of the pickups. Fralin's paf's start at 7.5k and go up to 10k, and they have alnico 4 magnets. you say yours are 7.2k and 7.9 with alnico 2 magnets, it doesn't make sense, are you sure they are not the 7.5k neck and 8.0k bridge with alnico 4 magnets, I kinda need to know. lol.

  • sounds nice but i'd go with some over the pond guy pafs!

  • No, my tone sucks xD
