Okay, let me just clarify a few things here; I love the /idea/ of the father-daughter relationship between Arwen and Elrond, in the books. In the movie, PJ just...messed around with too much of Arwen's story for me to enjoy it. That, and I absolutely loathe Hugo Weaving as Elrond. He is completely not right.

But I made this anyway. I gritted my teeth and did it. No copyright infringement intended. Enjoy.

how did peter jackson mess up arwen's story? I thought he a excellent job.

Almost none of that story took place during the actual trilogy itself - Tolkien put it in the index for a reason. And dismayed though Elrond was that Arwen was staying in Middle-earth, he treated Aragorn as his son - he didn't try and talk Arwen into leaving once her mind had been made up, and it was Elrond, not Arwen, who had foresight - yet she was capable of seeing Eldarion. And, to top it all off, Elrond (reluctantly) reforges Narsil for Aragorn in RotK rather than in FotR.

You loathe Hugo Weaving as Elrond...i just dont know what to say to that, He did an amazing job and Elrond is my favorite character. My only problem is that every time Elrond is on screen I expect him to say 'Mr Anderson'

To each their own. I just thought he would have made a much better Thingol than Elrond - Elrond was supposed to be much more kind and paternal to everyone, especially Aragorn, which he most definitely was not in this trilogy. He wore that perpetual pissed-off expression...

You..you loathe Hugo weaving as Elrond...being a Elrond fan, I think he is pretty good *amazing, but that's my opinion XP* Very nice clip anyway, well done, must be difficult to make a clip when seeing a actor you don't prefer to see xD

Alot of characters are changed or adjusted for films that was not Hugo Weavings fault. For the character he was given he did an a amzing job and by the way I love that perpetual pissed-off expression he does its so cute

I thought Hugo Weaving did a good job with the character, but I agree that Peter Jackson really screwed with Arwen story too much. Your video did an excellent job showing more of the relationship in the book, and it really touched me. Wonderful video.
