Because everybody knows doing physical exercise that usually requires both legs is as easy to do on one.
Actually, I think the fact that he learned on just one leg makes it more interesting: there are lots of two-legged amateur golf players that don't makeSt. Andrews, and he made it with just one.
AFAIK, playing golf isn't easy even having two legs. Lacking one does have to make it harder. Perhaps you will want to try golfing standing on just one leg before talking out of your ass.
