  • The Fleischers are the best, so creative!

  • Please tell me I'm not the only one disturbed by this cartoon.

  • The opening scene IS in "3-D", 'Pygar'. Max and his animation crew built a "live" tabletop background, placing the animation in front of it. He produced several cartoons using this "stereoptical" process {as noted under the Paramount logo; Fleischer eventually did receive a patent for it} from 1934 through 1938...but only in brief scenes.

  • If they can 3Dize "Nightmare Before Christmas", why can't someone 3Dize this? It's a natural!

  • Originally released in July 1935, and filmed in "two-strip" Technicolor [only Walt Disney had the exclusive rights to use "three-strip" Technicolor for his cartoons at the time]. The score is arranged and conducted by Sammy Timberg. Mae Questel is one of the female animal voices...
