As for the topic, I don't contest that the military defends the right of free speech. I do, however, believe that they fight for- and only for- the interests of a capitalist imperialist nation. They certainly are not fighting to emancipate people. If emancipating people would hurt US interests would they do it? Of course not

Soldiers vow to "defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" and to "obey the orders of the President of the United States." Revolutionary communism is directly opposed to the United States government and everything it stands for.

That said, will the soldier violate that oath in order to fight against what the United States does and stands for when he knows it is morally wrong?

@PostAnthropic A United States Soldier will die for any landsman regardless of that landsman particular personal beliefs. A soldier doesn't say to someone I will lay down my life for you then turn to someone else and say ,you i will not die for ,It doesn't work that way.

Its an unfortunate reality that we can subjegate one and other. One can only better themselves economically within a social context that allows for it. Hence the oppressed can pushed to life or death circumstances. Slave is a social role that others can be subjected to. Historically, religion has been a vechile of emancipation against this.
