It's a Beautiful Day - Bombay Calling (1978) FAMILIAR ?

I hope you'll recognize the beginning of the song.

Yes this is the song that provided an idea for Jon Lord and rest of the Purple to record their greatest hymn Child In Time.

Originally this song Bombay Calling was on their first album from 1967.
It's a Beautiful Day were a 60's Californian Psychedelic Rock group with
a little bit of folkish approach. Here you can see a rare footage of their Reunion show in 1978.

I hope someone will like this interesting rare fragment...

Actually the song is claimed by Vince Wallace, a Bay Area musician, who wrote it in 1962...

That is quite true ,,, and as time passed It`s a Beautiful Day made their version closer to Purple`s Child in Time rather than the tune first written by Wallace which they copied ...
