Lata Iskandar is an ideal picnic area and a favourite stopover for those on their way to Cameron Highlands, a highland vacation spot. Located midway between Tapah and Cameron Highlands, this multi-tiered waterfall has pools at the base of each tier, where many take the opportunity to go for a short dip in the cool, clear water.
The waterfall is located at the 15th mile off Jalan Tapah-Cameron Highlands is popular among visitors particularly during weekends.
The surrounding jungle is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including exotic insects. A handicraft bazaar sells exotic handicrafts of the Orang Asli (Aborigines) and beautifully crafted traditional earthenware pottery. Other amenities include food stalls and restrooms.
Getting There
To visit the Lata Iskandar Waterfalls, take the North-South Expressway (PLUS), exit at Tapah Interchange and take the road to Cameron Highlands. It is located 22km along the Cameron Highlands road.
