Harry Potter should get it in my opinion, not The Artist T_T I am SO TIRED of movies winning simply because they are "out there" and "different".

What ever happened to movies winning awards simply because they were really well made? It's as if they purposely overlook movies when the majority of the public enjoys them.

I saw The Help, Hugo, The Artist, Midnight in Paris, and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

My favorite was most definitely Hugo, because I thought it was an amazing movie. I predict The Artist will win though, because it's very different and original, as well as a really, really great movie. It's disappointing that the Harry Potter movies never gets real credit :( I'm crossing my fingers they'll get best visual effects...

You have to see Moneyball, it's one of my favourite movies of 2011. So underrated. I want Rooney Mara to win for TGWTDT, but we all know Meryl is going to win. The Artist will get the majority of things it's nominated for, if not all. It was good, but it doesn't make my list of favourite for last year.

You have got to go see more of the nominees! Paris should not have even been nominated, yes the city was gorgeous in the movie but seriously Owen Wilson? Ugh.. Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling loved, hello academy? Guess everyone has an opinion and they're all different huh? Lol

How about "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"? That movie was awesome, a bit rough on some scenes though >.<

I just want to say McCarthy was Great in bridesmaids, I just DID NOT think oscar when i saw her performance. she has a good chance to upset

Gr, The Tree of Life is just so pretentious. The imagery is incredible, but the plot wasn't all there. And come on, dinosaurs?

The Artist is incredible. I think it deserves Best Picture.

I'm not a huge Bridesmaids fan; I don't know if Melissa should win, but as you said, it is incredible that she was nominated since that typically doesn't happen in comedy.

I wish that Dragon Tattoo was nominated for best soundtrack.

And what about Michael Shannon in Take Shelter?
