At the April 2006 meeting of the Central Corridor Coordinating Committee, Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin stated that all issues raised during public comment on the Draft EIS for the Central Corridor Project would have to be addressed during the Preliminary Engineeering phase of the Project. 10 months later, at the February 2007 meeting of the Central Corridor Management Committee, Ramsey County Commissioner Toni Carter questions the authenticity of Commr. McLaughlin's statement.
