  • The first time I saw this I said I wanted that for my wedding dress. Well I still do! Vera is rocking that dress. Stunning.

This is possibly one of the best musical numbers ever. They are so graceful. Watch her walk over the rocks one more time, you could swear she was floating!

Thank you for posting this! I wish it was on DVD!

  • Guess what? It is on DVD! Try Ebay!!! :-)

  • That dress belongs in a production of 'Cinderella.'

  • I just love her dress!!!

  • Lovelovelovelove it

  • @catwomanpl1 ....the competitive ballroom saying is, "the woman is the picture and the

man is the frame." in other words, it is up to the male partner to make the female partner the center of attention and shine.

  • Not to take a thing away from her, but a crowned Vera-Ellen swirling around in that gown presages Grace Kelly in "The Swan" and those early images of her as Princess Grace. If Grace had been a dancer, this is how it would have looked. Breathtaking!

  • Broadway to do the dances that Kaye couldn't do. How fantastic would the dancing with Vera have been...not the mention the repartee with Bing...they worked so well together. I'm sure Vera would have loved more of those terrific kisses that she got from Donald in CMM. On a show a number of years ago, 5 beautiful Hollywood actresses rated Donald the Best kisser in Hollywood. I have all of his movies and he sure was...check out Walking My Baby Back Home...he was a sexy gentleman, a beloved man

  • Donald is just so great and romantic...Vera-Ellen said that he taught her the "sheer joy of dancing". One of her favorite numbers was the cellar dance from CMM....Donald's was this one...They were supposed to be reteamed in White Christmas, but Donald got that sickness from the mule...they really wanted Donald and waited for him as long as they could, but they had a deadline and he was too weakened from the medicines to do the strenuous dances, so they got Danny Kaye and got a dancer from

  • There is a very good book written by David Soren Vera-Ellen: The Magic and the Mystery about her life and her trials and tribulations such as her eating disorder. It got a four star rating by her fans and customers who read it. I loved Vera-Ellen’s dancing and movies.

  • @loggats I have asked you to remove this remark since I removed mine, because you didn't like it.
