Why do people disrepect the police in Baltimore?

BALTIMORE,MD — Two Baltimore (Md.) police officers in the process of taking a suspect into custody were surrounded by angry onlookers when an assailant suddenly tackled one of the cops, springing that suspect but himself becoming the object of the officers' attention.
Baltimore City police identified Manuel Imel, a 40-year-old with a last known address in West Baltimore, as the suspect in the assault of an officer. Imel, who court records show has prior charges of drug possession, theft, domestic violence, among others, is being held on $100,000 bond for charges of assaulting a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and obstructing and hindering.
There is a warrant out for the arrest of the second man, who was not identified pending that arrest, police said.
Guglielmi said the officers, shown kicking and punching the man but not using a Taser, pepper spray, or their service handguns, handled the incident appropriately

The guy who attacked the cop was not white nor is he mixed. He is black. Those who think he did something wrong must have been just watching the video not listening to it. No I don't condone his behavior but it was warranted.Stop always thinking everyone is against the police, believe it or not 7 times out of 10 the police are wrong (here in Baltimore City anyway). I wish we did have more "stand up" officers in this city but that is not the case.Have a wonderful day all, and just think about it.

Every day policemen put their lives in danger to protect others; yes, there are some who abuse the power that the badge affords them, but the officers in this video are simply trying to do their jobs and protect themselves. Yes, when the onlooker tackled the officer, he was punched and kicked. Once he released the officer, they stopped hitting him. That is not "police brutality"; that was a man, who happened to be a police officer, subduing a man who attacked him.
