  • tsnakehenderson, he is such a kind hearted man still. Still on the go constantly and still performing. Not for kids any longer, but for adults. They love him and are the ones who know him. He is so at home in front of an audience of baby boomers and above. lol

    Thanks for sharing your story.

  • russc98, harlow gave so many kids these great memories. I just wanted to make sure generations to come got to witness them as well. The complete dvd will be available through harlow's website one day very soon. I almost have it completed!

  • Had a chat with him this morning.

  • I work with Hal several times a week. Watching this documentary has given me a new sense of what a talented actor and local Indy celebrity he is. Oh, and for whoever is interested, the gift shop at the Indiana Historical Society in downtown Indy on the canal sells the complete dvd...come on down, you may even get to meet Hal acting up a storm!

  • I ran into Harlow (Hal) back in the late 80's on the steps of an apartment building, at 38th and Meridian St. I was returning home, and he had just visited somebody, I said to him, "Are you Harlow Hickenlooper?", a huge smile came across his face, as he said, YES!!! He thanked me for remembering him...we talked a little bit...took me back...way back...even then.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Is there a Part 2?

  • I sang Harlow's "Happy Birthday" to my poor daughter and many friends over the years. Wow, take me back

I remember when Hal landed a role in a Stooges film - we were so excited to see our "Harlow" on the big screen.

    Thanks so much for posting

  • Hi there! I grew up in Logansport, IN and Harlow Hickenlooper was a Saturday morning staple at our house. Thanks for the info and the GREAT memories!

    God Bless--Sharon

  • Wow! Harlow and Curley. Two of my all time favorites. I always loved Harlow's Birthday Song. Thanks for the good old

    memories.
