These are some examples and ideas I got from the book, (Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns by Nicolas Slonimsky)
Tritone Progression
Equal Division of One Octave into Two Parts
Interpolation of One Note.

Based on:
((Examples#1 Page 1 of the book.))

Tritone-The interval equal to the sum of three whole tones, i.e. an augmented
4th; it is exactly half an octave.

  • @ZOMFG102 Tri-Tones

  • I must study the book i bought it but it is difficult, any tip my friend??

  • @juanpablo255 take your time, its all written in the key of C for the most part it seems...Just take it one section at a time try playing them an see if you get any ideas from it. read the introduction for clues....start with the tritone progressions!

  • Nice... but the graphic doesn't have anything to do with the sound.

  • @juicyovni lol i know I had to put something up it was without and vid to begin with, thought i'd share it...maybe I'll think of a better vid

  • @tkdbender you clearley didnt get the sarcasim XD

  • I just bought this book.

However it`s very dense, and I`m not sure ho to quite understand the interpolation and all that.

For example, harmonizing the patters. And here in teh book it has numbers in a circle, I`m not quite sure how to make sense of it all.

Any way you can explain this brilliant book to me?

  • Thanks!

  • this is really nice.. fucking nice way of using the tritone.. ;)
