James Chadwick-Hallelujah

James Chadwick appeared in the Lewes Castle Gardens this afternoon, performed a decent set of his own and covers of songs in front of an audience of Men, Women & Children. He finished off with a fine rendition of one of my favourite Leonard Cohen songs. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere I tried to capture in Lewes Castle.

I like the simple air of sincerity in James's undeveloped voice and his unpretentious way with the audience; and his quickening with some of the lyrics. He has the full attention of the crowd.

I enjoy those small and intimate concerts. A comfortable family day with attentive listeners. You did a great job of creating the setting for us with your camera; beautiful stone castle walls and towers. I love it that the concert was SOLAR powered, too!! Wish I'd been there that day.

I told him his voice reminded me of Damien Rice's and he was a bit put off....i thought it was a compliment...oh well ...still love James voice :)
