The latest edition of Racer's High Gravity Challenge. I was actually quite surprised at how good this beer actually was. It gets a solid 4/5 swills.

You definitly must have been in the mood to have drink( which helps in the tast of alcohol drinking) to give this horried brew a high rating. I have tried Earthquake, Stack, and Evil Eye and the tast of all three remind me of rotten bananas with a wierd after taste that words cannot describe.. The effect of drinking one them is nice but I would have to chose taste over 12% precent alcohol. HHG, Steel, St. Ides, which I Know has lower ABV.

@Brimstone2003 I probably am a little too generous. Folks have to remember though, I am rating these against other similar malts and am taking both price and ABV into account. I didn't find Earthquake quite as bad a you di (rotten bananas? - I am familiar with the flavor but didn't sense it) I too prefer HHG any day. A couple 24's of HHG and I am good to go!

@FallstaffBrewingCo Thanks for watching - I think I need to be a little clearer that I am rating these against other similar beverages (10% ABV or higher). Against that crowd, this stuff is ok - against all beers - not so good. Looking back I was a little generous and probably should have rated this around 2.5 to 3 out of 5 swills.

I'll definitely be on the lookout for Earthquake. Sounds like it's quite a bit better than Steel Reserve or Hurricane. Prost!

@arclight2012 Thanks for watching - Looking back I was probably too generous with my rating. Remember, I am rating this against similar beverages (10% or more ABV). I paided something like 2.49 for the Earthquake. I can get 2 HHG or Steel 211 24s for around that money and would go that way if given a choice. Still, you're talking almost 5 reg beers in a can and that's certainly worth a try.

when i first tried earth delights, i imprudently spit it out.

i thought it was one of the most horrific thing i have drank.

but than when i was jonezin for a buzz i forced it down.

for about 2 to 3 years now, i have been drinking earthquakes everyday.

it has slowly ruined my taste buds and turned me into an alcoholic

at the age of 19 almost 20.

try STACKS. they are great.

I got two 24oz cans of Earthquake from Big J in a trade over a year ago. Man it is indeed some interesting stuff I would say ice cold is the best imo great review!
