It was true then and true now. Unless there is a mercy rule, they have to play the game. Should the Patriots take a knee on every down? When it gets to that point, it's just little league and nothing more. I totally cosign your comments. Go Patriots!!

Well, to be sure, rarely is a team up 56-0 at halftime. Usually 35-0 or at most 49-0.
Buffalo came back to beat Houston in 1993 after trailing 35-3 at halftime... football is a 60 minute game, not 30.

Winning and running up the score do not have to go hand in hand. If the score is something like 56-0 at halftime, explain to me how the other team is going to win. I'll admit that I run up the score a little on football videogames I play, but if I'm winning 77-14 late in the 4th, I'm not going to use timeouts and Hail Mary passes to punch another in to make it 84-14. There's a difference between winning and smearing your opponents' face in it.

i agree with LXA 958 tombrady will destroy teams on the seam routes if you blitz the linebackers the only way to beat the PATS right now is to get pressure with the front four. Brady is too good at spreading the ball around to other receivers. Can't blitz.
