"Senseless lyrics" is a valid criticism. Though, in my defense, a lot of these songs have incredibly nonsensical translations, and I don't know Japanese well enough to make them clearer. But "tone deaf"? Nope. Not objectively, at least. I certainly don't have perfect pitch, and I can use a lot of work on vocal control, but I'm not what any musician would call tone deaf. I certainly wouldn't have been accepted into a classical voice program if I was.

I think it would be impossible for me not to like this. I tried to, I honestly did. I said "it's the wrong pitch" and "the lyrics aren't the same", and then I slapped myself and said "this is absolutely amazing, her voice is beautiful and she rewrote the lyrics in an amazing way to both capture the original song and yet still poetic and maintain the music's natural flow". I'm honestly inspired, if not to dub my own songs, then to at least make more progress in my musical endeavors. Thank you.
