  • Im having trouble playing one rex file in two different slots, am I not supposed to be able to do that??? Im trying to add an effect to only one of them.

  • @Darkkorners what you can do is make one of the loops send audio through one of the other audio outputs in the back of the rack. if you look at the waveform in the octorex, at the bottom you can choose where each slice is outputted to (as in which audio channel). you can send one of your loops to that other channel, and then mess with it. hope that helped!

  • Lets say the first beat has a kick/hi-hat/cowbell combination. is there a way for me to go in and eliminate the cowbell and just have kick/hi-hat in that one beat?

  • @afrosensuous if your cowbell rings independantly from the hihat and kick drum, then yes. all you do is copy the loop to track, then find the individual cowbell hits and delete them. done! you can also go in the rex's slice edit mode, and mute the slices with a cowbell. done! hope I helped

  • hey man, the tutorials are awesome

one question tho, how come when i try recording beats in the sequencer it shows up with red over it and when i stop the recording it deletes what i have recorded? thanks man

  • @1blackhawk2 you're probably recording it on an automation lane or something... are you sure that you're getting notes? because it SHOULD show up red when you record, but if no notes are entered, the clip automatically deletes itself. My guess is you're actually not inputting notes...
