A demonstration of Extending Ki.
Uke holds Nage's wrist and does not move unless something forces him to.
Nage does NOT exert any physical muscular energy to try to make Uke move, but simply extends Ki through the index finger. Nage changes Uke's direction by changing the direction which his finger is pointing. Note if you try this do not be surprised if it takes you many weeks before you can get a positive result. This is not staged.

  • A public service message as to why if you drink the Aikido koolaid it is not a good idea to be an uke and to have been drinking heavily of the drive to the dojo.

  • @yinsho of not to forget meditation

  • @yinsho lol yes it is most people on youtube are staging it somehow except for some. a true chi/ki master wouldn't seek fame or a camera im sure there are true ki projectors but they under go long periods of training and extensive quigong. nei-kung, yoga, breathing and tai chi exercises. i know quite a bit about chi and i can project :)

    ok see you :D

  • @gin0ichimaru0tama I never said that it couldn't.

Honestly, I don't know enough about it to say if it can or can't be.

But I mean, use logic here, seriously.

Yes, I believe in Ki, and energy, and all that. And that it can be used and stuff.

But what's happening in this video is obviously staged. I don't care how much force of will you have, you're not going to cause a guy to kneel down or move just by pointing your finger.

  • @yinsho why cant it be directed outside you body ?

  • @luxcandida

Just because people post fake videos of this stuff does not mean it is all fake.

If you don't believe in it, that's fine.

I don't believe this video, or any of those stupid "Ki shot" or "Energy blast" videos either. But I do believe in Ki, and that it can be directed.

  • @yinsho I realy hate blind believers. See stupid things that stupid people do to trick suckers and can´t face the truth: THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!!

  • you know, i realy hate flamers. if you don't belive in something or don't like something, then don't look it up! Yes i'll admit i belive in this, and yes this video does look a bit fake. But realy, don't you flamers have anything better to do than post "i don't belive in this, its bullshit, its all a lie." comments? i just marked all comments like that, as well as my own right here, as SPAM!

  • Using this in a street application is the whole point of the exercise.

Using it in a street exercise as shown above, probably not the way you are thinking.

  • sorry ive never been to an aikido dojo but ud have to understand thand it looks super fake

*pointthere* and hell move there come on .. : /

ive seen more realistic videos with Ki in aikido
