@wardka There's a case to be made that Hensley's songwriting (and insistence on being involved in ALL the songwriting) dragged them away from the successful formula that launched them into stardom (heavy progressive rock with fantasy themed lyrics) to the one that nearly rendered them completely irrelevant in the mid-to-late 70's (heavy focus on pop sensibilities). Personally, I prefer the Heep from 1970-72 over anything from Wonderworld on through until Hensley (thankfully) quit in 1980.
I can't listen to it without Byron....& i don't.

Grew up listening toHeep in high school. Many crazy days of smoke filled fun just listening for hours. Still great after all these years
