The plastic tip shouldn't have anything to do with how dirty it is. I'm surprised the ammunition doesn't come with a heavy roll crimp on it already if it's specifically for leverguns. Accurate #9, a heavy magnum pistol powder, works best with a heavy roll crimp as well.

@shadow857 You don't have to worry about the plastic tips, they disintegrate completely on impact. Yeah, I've heard others complaining about dirty burning powder too. They said that it's because of a too light crimp. They all reload, so they put a better crimp on them & that ended the dirty powder problems! Picked up some more velocity too in their Marlin M94s! Find someone that reloads & get them to put a heavy crimp on them for you. Then they should shoot good.

fuck those bullets i used them and they were dirty as hell but they make a meen hollow point if you pull out the plastic tip
